Identity and print works for a newly launched Dubai-based real estate brand

GFH Real Estate is a recently formed subsidiary of Bahrain’s most notable financial brand, GFH. The firm has been working with Unisono on a slew of great brand projects for the parent and subsidiary companies including their recent real estate brand’s corporate profile. Located in Dubai’s Dubailand master brand project, the California Village Brand is the first of many new real estate developments the firm is undertaking outside of Bahrain.
The project is a small, community focussed project which features a club house and facilities building along side a residential mid rise tower and town houses and villas. The project caters to new families and new owners in the Emirate.
The Creative Solution for the California Village Brand
Featuring a fantastic burst of orange, the California Village brand and brochure aesthetic is distinctly modern, clean and colourful. The lines in the brochure represent the strict and minimal look and feel of the projects architecture.
The California Village Brand identity features a unique typographic approach which draws attention to the sun-like ‘O’ in the centre of the name ‘California’ via a radiating minimalist sunburst. The geometric type was designed from scratch by our in house type masters and features influences from the brand’s typography, a font called Nobel which was designed by renowned type designer Tobias Frere-Jones.
The positive inflection of the California Village brand continues through out the piece, from the cover to the end pages. The cover features a bold rich chocolate cover with matt gold foil finishing that houses the white linen paper of the cover – again with logo detail inset in a debossed detail. Coupled with highly tactile prestige papers, the final rendering of the books creates an impression of a high profile project with a clearly stated purpose.
